ACMeSIM is a next-generation eSIM management platform designed to simplify global connectivity for travelers, remote workers, and businesses operating across borders. Codistan partnered with ACMeSIM to conceptualize, design, and build a comprehensive mobile and web application that allows users to browse, purchase, activate, and manage eSIM data packages from anywhere in the world. The project demanded a multi-tenant architecture capable of handling diverse user roles, complex eSIM provisioning workflows, and real-time payment processing, all wrapped in a polished, consumer-grade interface.
The engagement spanned the full product lifecycle, from initial UX research and wireframing to backend infrastructure design and final deployment on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. The Challenge
Building ACMeSIM required navigating the technical complexity of eSIM provisioning standards, which vary by carrier and region. The platform needed to abstract this complexity entirely from the end user, delivering a seamless one-tap activation experience regardless of the underlying carrier infrastructure. Simultaneously, the solution required enterprise-grade security for payment processing and personal data handling, while remaining accessible and intuitive for a global, non-technical audience. Ensuring real-time synchronization between mobile apps, the web portal, and backend provisioning systems was a critical engineering challenge throughout the project.
Our Solution
Codistan architected a microservices-based backend that interfaces with multiple carrier APIs through a unified abstraction layer, enabling consistent eSIM delivery regardless of the provider. The mobile applications feature a streamlined onboarding flow with integrated device compatibility checks that guide users through the activation process in under three minutes. An AI-powered chatbot handles the majority of support queries in real time, reducing operational overhead significantly. The admin panel gives operators complete visibility and control over inventory, user accounts, and package configurations, while the payment system supports multiple currencies through a secure, PCI-compliant gateway.
